Disney World and Disneyland are no strangers to celebrations. It’s been said a million times; Disney is a magical place, but – during the holidays, the magic dazzles. Spending the holidays at the Disney resorts (either Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida), is an experience you won’t want to miss. Just think; incredible decorations, including “snow” that magically falls from the sky, festive parades, special events, holiday music, and the most incredible nightly fireworks displays. Did I mention the food? Each year, Disneyland and Walt Disney World add festive treats, eats, and even cocktails to their many venues. There is even a pop-up Christmas bar located in Disney Springs (yes – Disney is for adults, too)!
Another touch of cheer is the chance to meet some of your favorite Disney characters, decked out in their holiday finest. Mickey, Minnie, and the gang will be on hand to meet and greet fans of all ages. On select evenings, Disney throws special holiday-themed parties that allow guests to stay later and experience Disney holiday magic exclusive to these parties. These are ticketed events and sell out quickly.

Have you ever thought about sprucing up your Christmas season with a getaway – maybe even one where you can still celebrate in style? Well, Finland is calling and says it can make your Christmas dreams come to life!
Take Rovaniemi, for example, 500 miles north of the capital city Helsinki. Rovaniemi is a Christmas lover’s dream – it’s the hometown of Santa Claus! Take some time here to visit Santa Claus Village where you can officially cross the Arctic Circle while indulging your Christmas spirit in unique cafés and restaurants, holiday shopping, and even pictures with Santa himself! (No fakes, promise!) You can even visit with reindeer and other types of animals there at the village, or take a small detour and embark on a thrilling sled ride with huskies. End each day at an amazing igloo accommodation under the arctic sky, with a chance to witness the Northern Lights as you fall asleep under the stars.
FACT: The Northern lights can be seen around 200 nights of the year in the Lapland area. What I’m saying is – chances are high!
You can easily spend many days in Rovaniemi and take part in loads of activities, like snowshoeing, floating in the ice (not as scary as it sounds!), or visiting the wildlife park to see polar bears and arctic foxes.

Jenny’s love for Disney is almost unparalleled on our team! She is quite the traveler, especially on cruises.
It’s that time of year when we are all looking for that perfect gift. How many times have you watched friends and family posts on social media looking for ideas on what to get kids or loved ones for the holidays? Even with my own family, it’s always been nothing but stress leading up to the big day trying to figure out what to gift our kids and my husband.
Over the years we realized we were done buying more “stuff” for our kids to play with for 5 days and then either break or get bored of.
